August was a somber month for the Bahu family as Aunty Shanku failed yet again to pass the ‘Misinformation’ course at WhatsApp University. Despite countless attempts, endless hours of tutoring, and a relentless stream of forwarded messages, Shanku simply couldn’t make the cut.
Her husband, Deepak Uncle, was deeply saddened by her failure. Clinging to hope, he remarked wistfully that his wife might finally abandon her quest and simply continue forwarding unverified messages as a hobby.
However, overcome by the shame of her defeat, Aunty Shanku has vowed never to send another WhatsApp forward, no matter how interesting it seems or how strongly she believes in its truth.
A spokesperson for WhatsApp University confirmed that Aunty Shanku was treated fairly and in strict accordance with their student requirements. “The student failed to forward enough illegitimate and unverified messages,” the spokesperson stated. “In fact, she mistakenly forwarded many genuine messages, which is something we absolutely cannot tolerate. “Our students are expected to maintain a misinformation accuracy rate of at least 98%. Unfortunately, Aunty Shanku’s forwards contained 12% factual content—a record low for her cohort.” he said.
For those concerned about the plight of Aunty Shanku, the spokesperson reassured the public that millions of aunties successfully graduated this year with flying colours.
